Warhol had his soup can, Jasper Johns has his targets and flags. “Jasper Johns: Gray” opens Saturday 3 at the Art Institute, and pulls together works (like the drawing, Flag, 1958 pictured above) from 1955 to the present. The focus is on Johns’s use of the color gray in paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings.
