Beat it Windy City Rhythms, Chicago Human Rhythm Project’s annual fest in the vicinity of National Tap Dance Day (May 25), rightly reflects a broad definition of the form that includes spiritual descendants such as Chicago-born footworkin’. FootworKINGz, the group that took it global, makes its fest debut Thursday 10 and Friday 11 at the DuSable Museum of African American History, alongside choice artists and up-and-comers.
