The superpowered dancing lady pictured here is Hourglass, the star of Chicago Tap Theatre’s newest work, The Hourglass in the Stop-Time Chronicles: An All New Superhero Tap Dance Opera. The story was cocreated by comic-book artist Andrew Pepoy (who has worked for both Marvel and DC Comics) in collaboration with CTT artistic director Mark Yonally; Hourglass’s special ability is based on the time-trapping skills of dancer Kendra Jorstad.
