Acrobat and dancer Jill Heyser, pictured, balances in her solo Four Minute Crush, choreographed for the front porch of the Pleasant Home mansion, an opulent 30-room residence designed in 1897 by prominent Prairie-school architect George W. Maher. Crush is one of seven dances that take place there as part of Circle in the Square—New Works in Dance Theatre, running Friday 14 through Sunday 16. Other performers include the Chicago Ballet, Winifred Haun and Sarita Smith Childs. —Asimina Chremos
