A world premiere by artistic director Gustavo Ramírez Sansano, the first North American showing of Bate (pronounced “batche”) by Brazilian dance maker Fernando Melo and a near-complete turnover of dancers mark the debut of Luna 2.0, bringing fiery new personalities into the city’s dance scene. Pyrotechnic Cuban dancers have made waves in the U.S. for a generation.
