Chicago International Film Festival announces first 2011 titles

Well lookee here. The Chicago International Film Festival has added the first batch of this year's titles to its website. Accompanied by a note from fest founder Michael Kutza saying that those who buy early will save, the announced selections range from the obviously tantalizing (David Cronenberg's Freud movie, A Dangerous Method) to the lesser-known-but-heavily-buzzed (Gerardo Naranjo's well-received Mexican thriller Miss Bala) to the does-this-really-deserve-marquee-billing? (Carol Channing: Larger Than Life). The full schedule will be announced in September. Check TOC for comprehensive coverage.
