The Master to return to the Music Box in 70mm

Amy Adams, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Ambyr Childers in The Master
For those who, like me, were out of town for the TOC-advocated surprise screening on August 16—or who simply want to catch the year's most re-viewable movie again—you'll have another chance to see Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master in 70mm at the Music Box. Head projectionist Doug McLaren confirms that the film will screen three more times in its native format, on February 22, February 23 and February 25. Showtimes are still TBD, theater rep Buck LePard tells me, though he can confirm that Lord Jim (1965) and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) have been added to next month's 70mm series. Previously announced titles include Vertigo, West Side Story, Playtime and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

It's okay to be a show-off.
