From Paris with Love
Working from a story by megaproducer Luc Besson, director Morel treats this tightly wound actioner like a bullet-ridden Bugs Bunny adventure. Yet there’s also an uneasy seriousness to the carnage, typified by an extended image of Rhys Meyers wiping blood off his face. And only in Besson’s world could a well-placed gunshot come off as a romantic gesture. Among the typical extras is a tour of an actual spy museum.
