Lunar eclipse
Published: December 15, 2010

Thanks to Black Friday and New Year’s Eve, we’ve been keeping ever later (or earlier, depending how you see it) hours this season. The Adler Planetarium has another excuse for you to be nocturnally inclined: the total lunar eclipse. On Monday 20, starting at approximately 12:30am, you can use Adler telescopes to see a blood-red moon as it passes through the earth’s shadow. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate will help you warm up and stay alert. Meet at the Adler Planetarium outside the South Box Office, 1300 S Lake Shore Dr.
