Chicago Gaelic Park Irish Fest
The Celtic throwdown is a mix of bagpipers, Irish step dancers and musical acts including Beatles look-alikes American English. The fest attempts to get your whole family in on the fun with the “red hair and freckle face” contest, an Irish dog-breeds show, Gaelic football, hurling and more. Decibelle Music & Culture Festival
Formerly known as Estrojam, this multipart feminist festival brings in badass girl acts like Peaches, who headlines tonight. An after party takes place 10pm at Smart Bar. Chicago Turkish Festival
Loop workers: Scrap your bag lunches and head to this celebration for Turkish delights such as baklava, mado—Turkish ice cream—and other goodies.
