Your perfect weekend

In mid-December, Puiji—one of the Shedd’s seven beluga whales—gave birth. The yet-to-be-named calf is off display, being closely monitored while its mama scours the Internet for an extra-large stroller. We kid, we kid. But seriously folks, you can watch and learn about the other five belugas as they swim around the Oceanarium’s Misty Passage habitat (1200 S Lake Shore Dr; 312-939-2438, sheddaquarium.org; Aquarium, Wild Reef, Oceanarium and Polar Play Zone cost $16.95, kids $11.95).

Wizard of Oz, it’s not. Hot & Heavy Burlesque’s Tribute to The Wall (Viaduct Theater, 3111 N Western Ave, vivalamuerte.us; 10pm; $20, in advance $15) fills the entire duration of Pink Floyd’s album with choreography that would make Dorothy blush. Moves range from classic burlesque to performance art, and dance troupes include Viva La Muerte, Red Hot Annie, Ms. Bea Haven and Mae the Belly Dancer.
