7th Annual Mutt Strut
Join the Chicago Canine Rescue for this popular 1.5-mile fun walk around Wrigley Field followed by music, food, games and a silent auction. Looking to add another furry family member to the crew? Doggies will also be available for adoption. Southport and Newport Aves (773-697-8848, chicagocaninerescue.org). Sat 18, 10am–1pm; $30, kids and dogs free.

Scoozi!
This casual Italian eatery welcomes your cane for dog biscuits and water on its outdoor patio. Weather permitting, alfresco seating should be available through the end of September. Upload your puppy’s pic to the Scoozi! Facebook page, and see how many “likes” he racks up. Every Thursday a winner receives a $25 gift certificate. Scoozi!, 410 W Huron St (312-943-5900). Mon–Thu, Sun 5:30–9pm; Fri, Sat 5:30–10pm; average entrée $15.

Pup Crawl
Every month, Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Company leads a big red, pup-packed vehicle to a different dog-friendly venue. All dogs are vetted, spayed or neutered, microchipped (thanks to Lake Shore Animal Shelter and the Anti-Cruelty Society), and up for adoption. Guests can also enjoy special deals (last month, half-priced pizzas were offered on Ranalli’s Café & Pizzeria’s dog-friendly patio). Chicago History Museum, 1601 N Clark St; chicagotrolley.com; Sept 26, 11am–1pm, free.
