Grote's 1001 gets remount at Collaboraction

Joel Gross and Mouzam Makkar in 1001 at Collaboraction
It may not be a thousand and one nights, but you'll soon have several more evenings to catch Collaboraction's outstanding production of Jason Grote's 1001. We already knew Seth Bockley's production of Grote's play, an Arabian Nights riff for our post–September 11 climate, would be one of the eight weeklong remounts hitting Theater on the Lake this summer (where it runs July 20–24).
But with the entire original cast reuniting, including Mouzam Makkar, Joel Gross, HB Ward, Antonio Brunetti, Carly Ciarrocchi and Edgar Sanchez, Collaboraction will follow the TOTL stand with a five-week run at its new space in the Flat Iron Arts Building, July 28–August 28. Read my five-star review of the 2010 edition; tickets will go on sale tomorrow at collaboraction.org.
