Eclipse Theatre Company plans Eugene O'Neill season, moves to Athenaeum
Eclipse Theatre Company, which devotes each of its seasons to a single playwright, has announced its 2012 season will be dedicated to Eugene O'Neill. The company also says it's moving operations to the Athenaeum Theatre after nine seasons in residence at the Greenhouse Theater Center.
The three O'Neill plays on the bill for Eclipse's 20th-anniversary season are Beyond the Horizon, the 1920 Pulitzer winner, to be directed by Louis Contey (March 15–April 22); the comic Ah Wilderness!, directed by Steve Scott (July 26–September 2); and the posthumously produced classic Long Day's Journey Into Night, directed by Nathaniel Swift (November 1–December 9). The final entry in Eclipse's current Naomi Wallace season, The Fever Chart: Four Visions of the Middle East, continues through October 30 at the Greenhouse.
