Court Theatre announces 2012–13 season
Court Theatre's next season will include plays by August Wilson, David Hare and Molière, the theater announced this morning. The season opens with Wilson's Jitney, to be directed by Ron OJ Parson (September 6–October 14), followed by James Joyce's The Dead, the 1999 musical based on the story from Joyce's Dubliners, to be directed by Charles Newell with musical direction by Doug Peck (November 8–December 9).
William Brown will helm Hare's Skylight (January 10–February 10), followed by a "non-naturalistic" production of David Auburn's omnipresent Proof directed by Newell (March 7–April 14). The season closes with a consecutive pair of Molière comedies also directed by Newell with a shared cast, The Misanthrope (May 9–June 9) and Tartuffe (June 20–July 14).
