Theater on the Lake announces 2012 season
RECOMMENDED: Theater on the Lake 2013
The Chicago Park District today announced the 2012 slate for Theater on the Lake. Co-curators Michael Patrick Thornton and Meghan Beals McCarthy selected eight recent theater productions from around the city to be remounted for one week each at the open-air facility at Fullerton Avenue and Lake Shore Drive, with highlights including the Inconvenience's recent hot ticket Hit the Wall, the Building Stage's percussive adaptation of Moby-Dick and Redtwist's Jeff-nominated Opus. Additional programming, including live music, storytelling by 2nd Story and more, will be part of the season as well, with dates and details remaining to be announced.
Theater on the Lake also announced that it will be the recipient of a special award at the Non-Equity Jeff Awards on June 4 to mark TOTL's 60th anniversary. After the jump find the complete eight-week schedule; with the exception of improv masters TJ & Dave, I've linked to our original reviews of the productions.
