The Paper Machete goes All-American at Green Mill

The Paper Machete regular and unofficial mascot Chad the Bird
The Paper Machete, the weekly "live magazine" hosted by former TOC staffer Christopher Piatt, has lined up a roster of its regular stars (and stripes) for an Independence Day special edition at a new venue: Uptown's historic Green Mill.
The Paper Machete All-American Holiday Pageant, hitting the jazz institution Sunday, July 1 at 3pm, will feature an impressive slate of Machete habitues holding forth on American themes (1776–2012). Just like TPM's usual Saturday shows at the Horseshoe, it's free. The lineup includes:
- Rob Anderson
- Kim Bellware (Chicagoist)
- Lisa Buscani
- Colleen Doyle and Nancy Friedrich
- Dan Granata
- Samantha Irby
- Patrick Rowland as Barack Obama
- Katie Rich and Steve Waltien (The Second City's Who Do We Think We Are?)
- Josh Zagoren (a.k.a. Chad the Bird)
- musical guests The Empty Pockets

It's okay to be a show-off.
