Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Catch Me If You Can tours will play Chicago in 2013

Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Broadway in Chicago has announced Spring 2013 stints for the touring productions of two recent Broadway musicals, both adaptations of known film properties.
Priscilla Queen of the Desert, adapted from the 1994 Australian comedy about a trio of drag performers traversing the Outback in a glammed-up bus, will play the Auditorium Theatre March 19–31. The Broadway production, which had its final performance yesterday, picked up a 2011 Tony Award for Lizzy Gardiner's splashy, sequin-bedecked costumes (Gardiner had previously won an Oscar for the film).
A non-Equity tour of Catch Me If You Can, based on the 2002 Tom Hanks–Leonardo DiCaprio vehicle about con man Frank Abagnale Jr. (itself adapted from Abagnale's autobiography), will play the Cadillac Palace Theatre April 2–14. The show has music and lyrics by the Hairspray team of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and a book by Terrence McNally.
