Chicago Shakespeare Theater says more than 700 people attended yesterday's inaugural performance of Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks, the theater's summer initiative in partnership with the Chicago Park District and sponsored by Boeing.
The free performance of The Taming of the Shrew, in director Rachel Rockwell's 75-minute adaptation, drew crowds Sunday afternoon to the South Shore Cultural Center. The production will visit ten more parks across the city in coming weeks; find a full performance schedule here.
It's okay to be a show-off.
