Peter and the Starcatcher touring cast to be led by Joey deBettencourt, John Sanders
The national tour cast of the Peter Pan prequel Peter and the Starcatcher will be led by Chicago actor Joey deBettencourt as "Boy," while another actor with deep Chicago connections, John Sanders, will take on the villainous role of Black Stache, which he understudied on Broadway.
They're among several Chicago actors in the play's touring cast announced this morning, including Harter Clingman as Alf, Nathan Hosner as Lord Aster and Nick Vidal as an understudy. Other casting includes Megan Stern (Molly), Jimonn Cole (Slank), Carl Howell (Prentiss), Ian Michael Stuart (Captain Scott), Benjamin Schrader (Mrs. Bumbrake), Luke Smith (Smee), Edward Tournier (Ted) and Lee Zarrett (Fighting Prawn), with Ben Beckley, Robert Franklin Neill and Rachel Prather filling out the ensemble. Peter and the Starcatcher will make its Chicago stop at the Bank of America Theatre, April 2–13, 2014.
