Casting set for Pavement Group's MilkMilkLemonade
Pavement Group’s upcoming production of Joshua Conkel’s MilkMilkLemonade has a cast. You may recall my excitement when the production was announced last October; now we know who will bring Conkel’s übergay piece of faux children’s theater to life. Matt Farabee (pictured in last year’s Pavement Group production of punkplay) will play young ribbon-dancing proto-homo Emory, with Jessica London-Shields (the side project’s Cherry Smoke) as his bullying frenemy Elliot, Cyd Blakewell (currently in Griffin Theatre’s Port) as Emory’s best friend Linda (a chicken), Sarah Rose Graber (Chemically Imbalanced’s The Book of Liz) as the narrating Lady in a Leotard and John Zinn (Rivendell’s The Walls) as Emory’s Nanna. Cassy Sanders directs; MilkMilkLemonade will play Chicago Dramatists March 17–April 17.
