Porchlight covers Rodgers, Rodgers and Guettel in April 4 concert

Porchlight Music Theatre Chicago is keeping it in the family for its sixth annual "Chicago Sings" benefit concert, set for April 4 at Rogers Park's Mayne Stage. Rodgers, Rodgers & Guettel, Three Generations of American Musical Songwriters will feature tunes by composers Richard Rodgers (Oklahoma!, South Pacific, The King and I); his daughter, Mary Rodgers (Once Upon a Mattress, Working); and her son Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza, Floyd Collins).
The concert will be directed and hosted by Rob Lindley with musical direction by Doug Peck, and will feature an array of musical-theater favorites. Currently slated to appear are: E. Faye Butler, Brianna Borger, Mary Ernster, Brandon Dahlquist, Roberta Duchak, Rebecca Finnegan, Nicholas Foster, Jess Godwin, Corey Goodrich, Ross Lehman, Bethany Dawn Lindner, Michael Lindner, Colleen McHugh, Susie McMonagle, Tom Michael, Christine Mild, Jeff Parker, Peggy Roeder and Bethany Thomas.
