The Paper Machete moves to the Green Mill
The Paper Machete, the weekly "live magazine" of Chicago writers, comedians and musicians holding forth on the news of the day over a few afternoon beers, has lately presented a few special editions at venerable jazz joint the Green Mill—most recently in an October 13 edition that memorably featured Bob and Nancy Piatt, the parents of Machete host (and former Time Out Chicago staffer) Christopher Piatt.
Those trial outings have apparently impressed the management: Starting December 1, the Paper Machete makes the Green Mill its permanent home, Saturdays at 3pm. The price of admission remains steady at free. Until November 17, catch the Machete at its current digs,; the show takes Thanksgiving weekend off before the move.
