Kate Simko has been on the short list of ones to watch in the minimal and techno realms for years now. We've seen the Chicago local, who spent some time spinning in South American clubs a few years back, graduate to the big leagues with her singles and albums on the Ghostly/Spectral labels. An up-and-comer abroad and in NYC, Simko co-headlined at Smart Bar this past weekend with Berlin's sensual minimalist Cassy (famed for her Panorama bar residency) and brought out a healthy number of partiers. TOC was on the scene to capture the mood and the moment.
