A few days ago I found myself bigging up the North Coast festival, the crowd for the fest in particular. What makes it special? The crowd's unselfconsciousness and passion for a good time. Last year, the fest blew me away with its youthful one love mood with a good dose of libidinousness. If there are any Chicago fests that can lay claim to the spirit of the original Woodstock or perhaps Burning Man (I'm not talking about the quality of genre of music presented), it is this one.
