Band of Skulls at the House of Blues | Photos
London-based, alternative rock trio Band of Skulls filled the House of Blues on Tuesday while promoting their second album, Sweet Sour. Vocalist Emma Richardson showcases the group’s versatility by lacing bluesy ballads over pounding, body-pulsing rock & roll. With Russell Marsden booming on guitar and Matt Hayward commanding the drums, Band of Skulls’ powerfully multi-dimensional sophomore effort gives their first, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, a legitimate run for its money.
The evening opened with We Are Augustines, hailing from Brooklyn. Once and possibly more familiarly known as Pela, the group’s first album, Rise Ye Sunken Ships, was released this past August.
