British rockers the Kaiser Chiefs are shameless crowd-pleasers stuck in an era of bedroom acts. The Chiefs are touring in support of the made-for-the-American-market Start the Revolution Without Me. The new album is based on a previously released build-your-own album scheme called The Future is Medieval (for that one, listeners chose 10 tracks out of a possible 20). Revolution does contain one new track, "On the Run," described affectionately by our critic as "Duran-Duran-riding-mopeds rock." The Chiefs hit the House of Blues on Thursday, April 19, as part of a tour which takes them next to the Coachella Festival.
