Originally from Paris, France, Grammy Award-winning DJ David Guetta made the trip across the pond this weekend to give a vibrant set at Chicago's Congress Theater. At his first stop on a string of American performances, Guetta presented the audience with his trademark dance-focused DJ style. Guetta, an electro DJ at heart, says he's entranced by both the soulful, passionate melodies and massive party tracks. Equal parts producer (Guetta produced the Black Eyed Peas' smash hit "I Gotta Feeling") and recording artist (his upcoming studio album Nothing but the Beat features musical guests from Jennifer Hudson to Snoop Dogg), Guetta's international breakthrough is off to an explosive start.
It's okay to be a show-off.
