U2 360º Tour at Soldier Field | Photo gallery

There was a time when I would have traded my Christian Hosoi skateboard and new Maui & Sons T-shirt for a ticket to U2. I'm not saying that I wouldn't still do so under the right conditions, just that my fandom has known greater passion than it does at this point. And yet, love for the Irish rock act has only grown over the decades. Last night, the band brought its much touted 360º Tour to Soldier Field—a set-up, one can surmise, that affords Bono the proximity to spit in your beer during "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" if he wants to—although I think the band in its current state might charge extra for that. From the looks of it, fans ate it all up—with a showman like Bono and soundshaper like the Edge working you over, that's no surprise.
