Booking Ahead | Pitchfork Music Festival 2012 lineup announced, new concert announcements from Nick Lowe and LMFAO

The initial lineup for the Pitchfork Music Festival was revealed this week. Well, at least a portion of it; these things tend to come in waves. So far we've got Vampire Weekend and Feist in the top slots, with Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Hot Chip lower on the bill. As of yet, Willis Earl Beal is the only artist representing the Chi, but hopefully some other local acts will be added in the coming weeks. It all goes down July 13–15 at Union Park. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 9, at pitchforkmusicfestival.com, with single tickets going for $45 and three-day passes for $110. Get 'em while they last. Other announcements include new dates from old hands like Steve Winwood and Nick Lowe, not to mention Motown queen Diana Ross. Speaking of Motown, Berry Gordy's goof-pop spawn LMFAO smartly used its Super Bowl half-time appearance to lift it to the arena level. The group's Sorry for Party Rocking tour arrives at Allstate Arena in late May.
