A whole lotta Lolla after-parties were announced this week, as noted a few days back on this blog, many of which have already begun to sell out according to Do312. In other fest news, the Hideout Block Party has merged with A.V. Fest, and the joint endeavor's initial roster has finally been revealed, featuring bearded crowd-pleasers Iron & Wine and Glen Hansard at the top of the bill, with consummate soul man Lee Fields & The Expressions a little lower down on the lineup. The whole thing goes down September 14 and 15, the same weekend Riot Fest takes over Humboldt Park. Speaking of A.V. Fest, one of last year's headliners, the reunited Archers of Loaf, returns to the Bottom Lounge August 24, while the nostalgia-powered co-headlining bill of Blondie and Devo arrives at the Chicago Theatre in September. A month after that brings Baltimore's ascendant Beach House to the Riviera Theatre, filling the roomy Uptown hall with intoxicating dream-pop.
