We can all agree that the Smashing Pumpkins' latest, Oceania, is a return to form. Fitting then, that after playing the new album in full at Allstate Arena October 19, Billy Corgan and his brood dip into their back catalog to dust off the stuff everyone's comparing it to. We're even more excited for R&B recluse Prince, whose worldwide Welcome 2 tour arrives at the United Center September 24. The purple Yoda is known for mixing it up at each one of his marathon concerts, and with any luck he'll tack on a couple more dates. November brings the return of an artist with deep local ties: Rickie Lee Jones, a native North Sider, who plays Thanksgiving evening at the new City Winery Chicago before heading up to Evanston for a Black Friday gig at SPACE.
