Parker, Abrams & Herndon + The Primeridian
As part of a new two-part Elastic series meant to explore the boundaries of jazz, Tortoise members Jeff Parker (guitar) and John Herndon (drums) link up with noted bassist Joshua Abrams (Town & Country, Natural Information Society) and a bevy of samplers for an electric, improvised set. Support comes from local hip-hop duo the Primeridian, known for its soulful, acid-funk sounds and conscious rhymes.
