Burger Philosophy coming to Edgewater

Is Edgewater truly, as Eater puts it, "on fire"? We're more inclined to say it's showing some sparks. And one of those sparks is the forthcoming Burger Philosophy.
The question surrounding the shop—which hopes to open by the end of the month—is, naturally: What's the Burger Philosophy's philosophy about burgers?
"Basically making everything fresh," says Nick Verveniotis, one of the owners. At Burger Philosophy, the meat will be ground fresh, and the fries will be hand-cut.
But this is no fancy burger place. The menu—available here, on the shop's website—lists burgers (1/3 pound each) with all the usual, gluttonous suspects: A breakfast burger with bacon and egg...a tropical burger with teriyaki glaze and pineapple...a bleu cheese burger...a veggie burger (WTF?) (JK).
One aspect of note: There will be not just shakes, but smoothies, à la Epic Burger, a company one of the partners operations manager Daniel Alfaro used to work for. Those should come in handy as a cool down when Edgewater bursts into flames.
The Burger Philosophy will open later this month (hopefully) at 1541 W Bryn Mawr Ave.
