City Provisions to launch brunch and late-night "nosh" next week

City Provisions Delicatessen
Every time I visit City Provisions, chef-owner Cleetus Friedman is up to something new—whether that means adding goat's milk to a latte, making his own bagels or meeting the demand for fresh doughnuts. As summer gears up, Friedman is adding more reasons to make it over to this Ravenswood deli: namely, Sunday brunch (launching June 26) and "nosh" (launching June 27).
And when Friedman says he is doing brunch, this is what he means: whiskey-glazed ham. Bacon steaks. Potato latkes. House-cured salmon. And…those are just the things you can get with two eggs. There will also be corned-beef hash, granola with yogurt and raw honey, fresh biscuits with sausage gravy. To accompany the food, Friedman provides Cleetus Heatus Bloody Marys, strawberry-mint sours (made with Death's Door vodka) and Hum punch.
Not a bruncher? Friedman introduces: Nosh, an evening menu of cheese flights, charcuterie plates (including housemade pâtés and terrines) and cocktails showcasing local spirits, e.g. the Scandinavian Mule, made with North Shore Distillery aquavit. Check out the full brunch, nosh and cocktail menus after the jump.
Starting June 27, City Provisions (1818 W Wilson Ave, 773-293-2489) hours will be Tuesday–Thursday 7am–9pm, Friday 7am–10pm, Saturday 8am–10pm, Sunday 8am–9pm (closed Monday).
