Revealed: The menus for Grant Achatz's The Office

Posted in Consume blog by David Tamarkin on Jun 23, 2011 at 6:03pm

Lately, people have taken a break from talking about The Aviary and have started talking about The Office, the clubby, invitation-only lounge in Aviary's basement. What would it be like to be tapped on the shoulder by an Aviary employee and led down some stairs into that leathery room? I have no idea. But The Office's food and cocktail menus, which I just got my hands on, provides some clues. I'm tempted to wax unpoetically about the cocktails, which are not as basic as I thought they would be. A Bourbon-red pepper-guajillo-lemon-corn husk cocktail? This is proof that while The Office may be inspired by the old-school, it is still definitely Aviary's sibling. But enough about the cocktails. Let's talk about the real news: A Grant Achatz Ice Cream Sundae. I believe the menu suggests that the $25 dessert serves two. Somehow, I think I could make it serve just one. Click through to see the food and cocktail menus in their entirety.
