Revealed: The menu of the new Francesca's Forno
reopens tomorrow as a brand new—or at least newly refreshed—restaurant. There have been some structural changes—the bar has been moved, accordian windows have been installed—but the most important is the menu, which has been completely reworked by chef Larry Tio. I expected this menu to have a big influence, as that's the direction Scott Harris seems to be going in (see for an example of what I'm talking about). But Tio's menu retains a separate identity for Forno: It focuses on pizzas and pastas, with some small plates (lamb meatballs) and big plates (bone-in porkblade steak) bookending them on either side. Browse the entire menu above (or check it out at the restaurant tomorrow).
