We're loving the abundance of food trucks zipping around downtown this summer, and luckily, next weekend, we can jump on the street-food trend in another way.

Chefs Oliver Poilevey and Scott Jambrosek of French stalwarts Le Bouchon and La Sardine are joining forces to create a three-day pop-up restaurant called Gypsy. They're serving up globally inspired street food at Logan Square Kitchen (2333 N Milwaukee Ave), a shared-use, sustainable cooking space.

On the menu: fried risotto balls with romesco sauce, duck tacos with pickled onion, cilantro and citrus and vegetarian crepes. Don't forget peanut-butter-and-jelly ice cream and mojito sorbet to finish.

Like last year's Logan Square Kitchen pop-up, Gypsy is timed with the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival. So take your grub to go while you stroll among the music stages and art galleries, or escape from the heat in the LSK dining room, where beer will be available for $5 a pint and wine for $5–$8 a glass.

Friday, July 29 4–11pm; Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31 noon–11pm. Cash only. $3–$9 for food items.
