The menus of Morso, opening tomorrow
Morso, the Italian* restaurant by Matt Maroni that we , opens in the former Terragusto On Armitage space (340 W Armitage Ave) tomorrow. As promised, the restaurant (which translates from the Italian as "nibbles") goes far beyond what Maroni serves at . Maybe that's just a consequence of the city's food truck laws—maybe when trucks are finally able to start cooking on-site, we'll see the kind of dishes that are on Morso's menu: Spaetzle with mushrooms and Gouda, bronzini with crawfish and lobster nage, crispy veal sweetbreads with avocado and smoked tomato. But, um, I kind of hope not. I don't want sweetbreads off a truck, you know? Anyway! The ambitious offerings of Morso are listed below for your perusal.
*Update: Mr. Maroni called to tell me it's not an Italian restaurant. More proof that silly food writers don't know anything, amirite?
