Filtering through the hazy beer memories of the year to finger the best of the local lot is a job best done over a cold one, but unfortunately the increasingly competitive scene means the brewmasters are already on to their next masterpieces. So while you might not be able to order Three Floyds’ smoky Bukowski tribute Ham on Rye or the Horizon fruit ale Half Acre brewed just for Next’s Thailand menu, you can still occasionally get the Mathias Imperial IPA at Haymarket. And in the meantime, bug those other guys to bring these brews back.
