Autre Monde

We eat a lot of brunch at this magazine. We've brunched at the Pump Room, at City Provisions, at Perennial Virant, at Rootstock, at 25 Degrees, at Table Fifty-Two. My point? We've never seen a brunch menu quite like Autre Monde's

There are no pancakes and no Benedicts on this menu. Instead, there is house-smoked mackerel. Shrimp and grits. Olive oil-fried eggs with shaved speck. And something called a carajillo—espresso fortified with brandy. Surprising, right? I like a brunch menu that surprises.

Autre Monde starts brunch on January 14th. But you can peruse the entire menu right now, after the jump.
