Trenchermen | Photo gallery
The historic North Avenue Bath House that was once Spring restaurant came back to life on Monday, when brothers and chefs Mike and Patrick Sheerin opened the highly anticipated doors to the Trenchermen. The restaurant is a collaboration between the brothers—Mike is best known for the Food & Wine Best New Chef nod he received while working at Blackbird; Patrick was most recently the chef of the Signature Room—and Matt Eisler and Kevin Heisner, who own Bar DeVille and Bangers & Lace. Heisner, a designer, is behind the overhaul of the space, showcased in the photo gallery above, while the Sheerins are directing the kitchen with dishes like bacon-cured sweetbreads and smoked sturgeon with chocolate-malt granola. Trenchermen (2039 W North Ave, 773-661-1540) is open for dinner Sun–Thu 5:30–11:30pm; Fri, Sat 5:30pm–1am and for brunch Sat, Sun 10am–2pm.
