Car service Uber offers on-demand ice cream trucks

Things can get serious pretty quickly when your ice-cream craving strikes. When you get up to check, you realize your freezer is empty, it’s boiling outside and nothing will be worse than your trek to the nearest 7/11. There must be a better option. Luckily, in celebration of National Ice Cream Month, Uber taxi service will offer a fleet of on-demand ice cream trucks in addition to its taxis, towncars, and SUVs on Friday, July 13 from noon to 6pm. For $12, a party of five will have ice cream treats in minutes. So, download the app (if you haven't already). Then pull out your smart phone and request an ice cream truck—it might be the only time it’ll be where you want, when you want. Check out Uber's video below.
