Garden Café chef Mark Cain kicks off the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Chef Series series today at the garden’s sunny, open-air demonstration kitchen. The six-month-long run of cooking demonstrations (Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 and 2:30pm) will be hosted by a different chef each week, and will emphasize garden-fresh, natural ingredients and healthy eating. Some of the first Pacific Northwest wild salmon of the season will be on offer at the McCormick and Schmick’s Wine, Salmon and Song event.
