If you’ve eaten at Tallulah in the past couple of weeks, here’s a bit of news: You were actually eating at LM Le Restaurant. Restaurateur Stephan Outrequin-Quaisser, formerly of the Drake Hotel, bought the Tallulah space a couple of months ago, and he’s been quietly changing things ever since. Chef Bradford Phillips has put new dishes on the menu (a torchon of foie gras with fig jam [pictured]; diver scallops with sunchokes), but other changes, like the name switch (the LM stands for Outrequin-Quaisser’s kids, Luke and Mary), are scheduled this week. When the transformation is complete, Outrequin-Quaisser hopes the people of Lincoln Square never find an occasion to visit his old employer again. “We want the people in Lincoln Square to feel that they can celebrate their birthday, their anniversary—and they don’t have to go downtown.” 4539 N Lincoln Ave (773-942-7585).
