Pitchfork

The answer is no, this bar has nothing to do with the indie-music site Pitchfork.com. In fact, if you’ve ever been to one of owner Dan Latino’s other bars (Waterhouse, Rebel, Bluelight), you might venture to say they’re the opposite of indie. Like Waterhouse, Pitchfork Food & Saloon (on a nondescript stretch of Irving Park Road on the Northwest Side) has a trivia night (Wednesday), daily specials ($3 burgers on Mondays), and a menu of Southern comfort food like chili, pulled-pork sandwiches and meat loaf. Cementing the separation between the music force and the bar: Thursdays are Country Nights, featuring $12 slabs of ribs from Cordis Brothers Supper Club. Though, now that we think about it, those indie kids have been going country lately.… 2922 W Irving Park Rd (773-866-2010).
