Like its “upscale sports bar” brethren, the touchstones of this slick River North spot are myriad televisions, scantily clad servers and, well, sports. The bar also has chosen a motif—Chicago as municipality—which, to be honest, is a little banal: Cocktails are named after neighborhoods, lobster rolls fall under the menu category “Department of Buildings” (the hell?), and names of random streets are cobbled together as wall design. Yet somehow, this place is bustling, so apparently something’s working.
