Brendan Sodikoff has smartly replaced Curio, the underlit cocktail lounge that used to inhabit Gilt Bar’s basement, with this extension of the upstairs restaurant. Though still Sodikoff-trademark dim, the space has a warmer glow, and the cocktails (such as a thoroughly shaken whiskey sour and a beautiful Martinez) are first-rate. Best part: Now Gilt Bar’s full menu (including ideal snacks like a wedge of Delice de Bourgogne cheese served with apricot jam) is available to accompany them.
