No April Fool's joke: Celeb chef/rock fan/reality-TV host Graham Elliot has a heap of changes in store for his sandwich shop, Grahamwich. On April 1, all sandwiches save the grilled cheese and pastrami reuben will cease to exist, and newbies like a lamb gyro (with tzatziki sauce in a pita pocket) and wagyu beef (with onion rings (!) on a preztel roll) will join the roster. Best of all, the sandwiches no longer adhere to a $10-across-the-board pricing structure; they now range from $7-10. The oversize sides are now available at two price points ($3 and $5) and a new flavor of soft-serve (vanilla bean with warm nutella) replaces the greek yogurt with pomegranate seeds. Elliot linked on Twitter to the new menu; check it out.

No mention of whether you will be able to request sandwich without an ingredient for whatever reason-a no/no at present. Also he should fire about 70% of the D Bag staff. Any way you slice it- this place ain't long for Chicago- it's just not that good.

I ordered the grilled cheese without proscuitto the week they opened and were slammed. And they had no problem with doing that.
