Uncommon Ground Edgewater

For its second location, Uncommon Ground went with a perfect space, a room so warm, so log-cabin chic that, unfortunately, the food can’t compete. So if you’re going to make a point to visit (and you should, because once here you’ll never want to leave), go with the basics: salads, meatloaf, its justifiably famous brunch (the Uncommon Breakfast Melt is brilliant). Kids don’t get the short end of the stick: Brunch for them includes treats such as organic cornflake-crusted French toast sticks.
